I was expecting a fun and lighthearted comedy based on the works of Shakespeare. Instead, I got a frat house-style party with a heavy-handed political agenda. The jokes fell flat, and the historical facts were questionable at best. The focus on social issues and sexual orientation was not only unadvertised but also felt out of place.

So one of the best places I have discovered so far in Houston, Texas is Griff’s Irish Pub located in the Montrose neighborhood. With a warm and welcoming, small hometown feeling, and tons of specials, you will feel right at home here the second you walk through the door.
